Spent the Hurricane here. The Supervisor, "Natasha" was intoxicated out of her mind - (as she so Loudly informed her co-worker, "Chris". "Buzzed" is how she phrased it. Comfort Inn did NOT abide by Florida's Governor request to "Allow Animals inside the hotel during the massive hurricane, but yet "Natasha" was racing around everywhere with her PITBULL (brown/white paws) LOOSE. When I pointed that there were INDEED "animals" - LOOSE animals at that, inside the main lobby, "Chris" stated "Natasha" was the Head Supervisor and LIVED upstairs with her PITBULL. The Hurricane was bad enough;THIS place was a NIGHTMARE! How dare they NOT allow the Terrified Animals trapped in a Category 5 Hurricane to accommodate their owners!
The staff was really friendly! The over night lady, I think her name was Kate, but don't quote me on that, was super nice and the lady putting away breakfast, forgot to ask her name, was really sweet. She gave me a banana and some yogurt when I came down a little late and we had a nice, small chat. No noisy neighbour's, either.
Because of the new "Owners", "Chris", and his "father", Comfort Inn now faces Felony Charges of the 3rd Degree. Not once, but 3 times, was a Legally Blind Disabled Individual of the United States Credit Card run, and successfully, fraudulently, charged. "Chris", the new owner, CONTINUED to charge this woman's credit card days after she had already "checked out". Over and over again, he illegally abused her card. She was left with a mere $18.00 to live on for the rest of the month. "Chris" DENIED the charges but the Bank Statements have duly arrived. He slandered the disabled woman and ran around the front desk in a maniacal rage. This woman even had her bank on her phone but this man was too busy screaming and waving his hands frantically to listen. Instead, he kept telling the female to "put the damn phone away or get off his property!" He claimed she knew NOTHING about Credit Cards while she calmly strived to even evince to "Chris" her online Bank Statement in her hand, on her other phone. She is now pressing Criminal Charges. "Chris" committed Credit Card Fraud on a Social Security Disability MasterCard. A Felony of the 3rd Degree. The other desk clerks AND the "father" didn't believe a word this guest uttered, especially "Natasha". However, this guest was completely truthful, had already paid for the 2 Nights spent, but REFUSED to pay the illegal ongoing charges. She absolutely won, obtained her money back, and now has her Attorney filing all the necessary Criminal Charges. Note: If deciding to stay at this Hotel? DO NOT use a Credit Card! Pay Cash. But we're certain this new "Owner" has learned his lesson. He simply hasn't received the Punishment, Yet.
Surprisingly this was a beautiful hotel. Receptionist was very pleasant and we got a discount. I would recommend
